Dessert tacos. I know, right? Totally crazy. And totally delicious.

In my mind, tacos fall in the same category as burgers: savory, meaty, and covered in cheese. But what I found out today is that strawberries and chocolate act like magic with crispy shells.

1. Pumpkin Spice Dessert Tacos

Oh my good gravy. If you are on the hunt for a festive fall treat, this is it. These pumpkin spice dessert tacos are just packed with pumpkiny flavor, and they make your whole house smell absolutely incredible.

You get some amazing spice and crunch from the cinnamon and toasted pecans, and that cream cheese icing brings a little bit of tanginess to balance all that sweetness. I love serving these with a hot mug of apple cider for the ultimate fall vibe.

2. Ice Cream Tacos

Who knew that frozen waffles could make for such perfect dessert taco shells? It turns out they are ideal. They have a great thick and fluffy texture, but with just enough crunch to keep things interesting.

This recipe only calls for five simple ingredients, including the classics: vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, maraschino cherries, whipped cream, and sprinkles.

That said, feel free to get creative with your fillings. These are a total home run for a build-your-own sweet taco bar.

3. Tuile Cookie Dessert Tacos

There’s something about the mascarpone in these that makes me think of cannolis. Both are seriously delicious dessert options, of course.

But these little beauties are crispier and have much thinner shells. They also have a ton more flavor, thanks to the berries and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.

If you’re a fan of cannolis, I have a feeling you’re going to love these, too.

4. Churro Dessert Tacos with Strawberries and Cream

These tacos are basically churros in taco form, which means they are crunchy and completely smothered in cinnamon sugar. YUM.

That right there is a tasty dessert on its own, but we’re about to take it to the next level. Each shell gets filled with whipped cream and fresh strawberries.

The combo of silky whipped cream against that crispy churro shell? It is just heavenly. Feel free to throw on a little chocolate sauce, caramel, or honey, too.

5. Banana Pudding Tacos

Southern-style banana pudding is one of those desserts that just goes straight to the heart. My grandma used to make it every spring.

Of course, my version was never going to be as good as hers, so to avoid the heartbreak, I make these banana pudding tacos instead. The mildly sweet banana flavor and that silky smooth pudding filling are just everything.

And those notes of vanilla and whipped cream? So, so good.

6. Mini Choco Tacos

Most of us know and love Choco Tacos, but did you have any idea you could make them right at home?

It is so ridiculously simple, and you only need three things: waffle cone batter, ice cream (or frozen custard if you’re feeling fancy), and chocolate chips.

Just whip up the crunchy waffle cones and fill them with your ice cream. After that, you dip them in melted chocolate and let them cool down.

The whole process is weeknight easy. Plus, since they’re mini, you can totally have more than one without an ounce of guilt.

7. Mango Shrikhand Taco

These fruit-packed tacos are a party in your mouth. They bring together all your favorite tastes; you get fruity, salty, sweet, and spicy all in one.

They are also super crisp and refreshing, and that chili powder gives them a little kick. These are just the thing for a summer luau or a day at the beach.

8. Brown Butter Crepe Ice Cream Tacos

*Brown butter crepe ice cream tacos*… just let that sink in. There is so much deliciousness packed into just a few words. Each one of these tacos has butter, chocolate, ice cream, and a bunch of other yummy stuff.

They’re a little messy, and you might end up with some chocolate to lick off your fingers, but I promise they are completely worth the hassle.

9. Apple Pie Cheesecake Tacos

These indulgent treats are a triple threat. You are getting apple pie, cheesecake, and churros all rolled into one beautiful package.

The baked tortilla shells are so sweet and crunchy, and that cheesecake filling is light, bright, and has a great zesty flavor. Oh, and the apple pie filling is just unbelievably comforting. What’s not to love?

10. Chocolate Dessert Tacos

Chocolate dessert tacos are completely over the top, and that’s exactly why the kids will adore them. They are insanely chocolatey, and that indulgent filling just adds to the sweetness.

These are a fantastic option for a dessert taco bar. Just set out the chocolate shells with whatever ice cream flavors and toppings you love most. That way, everyone can build their own taco with their favorite treats.

11. Strawberry Cheesecake Tacos

Strawberry cheesecake is a classic, but sometimes the same old dessert can get a little boring. So, why not turn it on its head and make these totally sinful strawberry cheesecake tacos instead?

They’ve got that same amazing sweet and tangy flavor, but with a super fun new presentation. And don’t let the tortillas worry you; you won’t even taste them under that buttery Graham Cracker crust.

12. Mini Cherry Cheesecake Tacos

If you are a fan of Cherry-O Cream Cheese Pie, you are going to fall in love with these tacos. They taste exactly the same but with a crust that’s crunchier and has more cinnamon.

These little bite-sized morsels are so good, you will not be able to stop at just one. I’m pretty sure it’ll take at least three or four before you can even think about stopping.

13. Piña Colada Tacos

These ones, on the other hand, are for the adults. There’s no alcohol in them, so the kids *can* have one. But the grown-ups are going to appreciate that tropical taste so much more.

They have a ton of coconut and pineapple flavor, and the maraschino cherries, cinnamon, and sugar are just bonus sweetness.

14. 4-Ingredient Nutella Choco Tacos

These four-ingredient desserts are just like Choco Tacos, but with Nutella! And yes, that makes them even better than the original. But then again, Nutella makes everything better, right?

You won’t even have to do any cooking with these, either. It’s just a little microwaving, some assembly, and freezing. They are unbelievably simple, but make sure you give yourself enough time, since they need about three hours to fully freeze.

15. Homemade Choco Taco

You can never have too many recipes for Choco Tacos, so here’s one more for you. And spoiler alert: it is not the last one on this list.

These are the full-size version, and they have even more chocolate than the mini ones. If you are a true chocoholic, you are going to really appreciate this recipe.

16. Crispy Sopapilla Dessert Tacos with Ice Cream and Berries

Sopapillas are just so good. They are crunchy, airy, and covered in sweet deliciousness. Usually, people top them with honey, berries, or ice cream.

But with this recipe, you’ll shape them like tacos and stuff them with all three! They are absolutely gorgeous and so flavorful. Plus, the berries add just enough tartness so they don’t get overly sweet.

17. Fresh Berry Tacos Recipe

As decadent and delicious as these are, they actually aren’t that bad for you. The carb count is a little high, but the fat and calories are not terrible, especially when you compare them to some of the others on this list.

They are bursting with bright berry flavor and only take about 10 minutes to make. There is no cooking required, either. They’re just fresh, refreshing, and a perfect summer treat.

18. Blueberry Cheesecake Tacos

Blueberry cheesecake tacos are a lot like the strawberry ones. They have that same tart and tangy sweetness but are just overflowing with berries.

These also use a brown sugar, sopapilla-style shell instead of a Graham Cracker crust. But don’t worry, both options are equally delectable.

19. Peanut Butter and Jelly Tacos

This is your classic PB&J. The only real difference is that it has a fun taco shape and a bright berry topping.

It is the easiest way to keep an old-fashioned and totally comforting PB&J exciting and fun.

20. Coconut Choco Tacos

Coconut and chocolate are a match made in heaven. I just love the light sweetness of coconut against that rich, almost bitter chocolate. They also taste pretty amazing in a taco shell that’s been covered in cinnamon and brown sugar.

If you are looking for a sweet summer treat, these are a fantastic option. They are tropical, chocolatey, and the kids will absolutely love them.

21. Bubble Waffle Banana Split Tacos

Have you ever seen the movie *Wreck-It Ralph*? If you have, then this dessert taco is going to look pretty familiar. It looks exactly like something you’d find in Sugar Rush Land.

It is colorful, festive, and just so much fun. Luckily, it is more than just a pretty face; it also tastes phenomenal. It is fruity, sweet, and totally decadent.

So if you want to treat your kids (or yourself!) to something fabulous, this is the recipe you need to make.

22. Grilled S’mores Tacos

Here’s another simple, four-ingredient dessert that will get your taste buds dancing. Grilled s’mores tacos are sweet, chocolatey, and utterly gooey.

Even better, they only take five minutes and a grill! There are Graham Crackers tucked inside the tortillas, so you get all the s’mores goodness you possibly can.

Plus, the soft tortilla adds another level of yumminess; it is like biting into a warm, sweet cloud. Oh, and these are way less messy than traditional s’mores.

23. Fruit Tacos

Fruit tacos are a tart, tangy, and super fruity delight. And don’t you worry; the cinnamon, sugar, and honey bring plenty of sweetness, too.

You’ll fill these with strawberries, mango slices, kiwi, and blueberries, which gives them a bit of a tropical vibe. And of course, you can use any of your favorite fruits to match your own tastes.

24. Chocolate Tacos with Strawberry

These rich, decadent tacos are some of my all-time favorites. The thin, crunchy chocolate lace cookies are almost like crepes, and you get to fill them with only the most delicious ingredients.

We’re talking two types of ice cream, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce for something totally sinful. But you don’t have to stop there!

Top them with some sweet and zesty macerated berries for an even bigger treat. I’m drooling just thinking about them.

25. Paleo Dessert Taco with Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream

Choco Tacos are absolutely scrumptious. We all know that. But what do you do if you want something a little healthier? Well, that’s where these paleo-friendly-and-not-quite-Choco-Tacos come in.

They are sweet, but not too sweet. It is that delightful, *clean* kind of sweetness you only get from eating naturally. And you won’t believe it, but the plantains make a surprisingly effective “taco shell.”

If you’re looking for a way to indulge without totally wrecking your diet, give these a shot.
